My background
I’m an experienced and qualified BACP registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, at the heart of my work is a simple commitment to really understand you. I want you to feel heard, supported and met with genuine curiosity and care, whoever you are and whatever’s brought you to therapy.
Alongside my work as a counsellor, I’m also a professional musician. I’ve spent the past decade living the highs and lows of life in music. Writing, performing, recording, dealing with labels, self-managing, and navigating the very unique (and often invisible) pressures that come with a creative life.
That experience gives me a deep understanding of what it’s really like behind the scenes, what it means to be creatively driven but emotionally stretched, to hold it all together on the outside while struggling inside. I know the energy it takes to keep going, and I feel privileged to support other creatives in finding their way through.
Whether you’re from the music world or not, I’d be honoured to work with you and support you on your journey.
In my private practice I work with people from all backgrounds as well as individuals within the music sector. I am dedicated to upholding the ethical standards set by the BACP and strive to maintain high professional practices.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, creative burnout, identity struggles, relationship issues, or just feel a bit lost, I’m here to help you make sense of things at your pace, in your own way.
HOW I WORK
I tailor our work to fit your unique experience and needs, I'm collaborative and down to earth and our sessions will move at a pace that feels right for you. As your therapist, my role is to really listen and understand your world, to walk alongside you with empathy and curiosity, and to help you make sense of your experience in a way that feels meaningful to you.
I predominantly work integrating two main therapeutic models and these allow us to tailor the work to you specifically.
Psychodynamic - we may explore what’s happened in your past to understand yourself now
Person-Centered - exploring your feelings, thoughts and experiences in the present
I work in a relational way, which brings healing through connection, trust, and authenticity in relationship within therapy.
Exploring at your pace together, you may begin to uncover your needs, motivations, and the patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others, including unresolved experiences, belief systems, and relationship dynamics.
Through reflection and self-discovery, many people find clarity around their values, purpose, and what truly matters to them.
I offer 50-minute weekly sessions online via Zoom and I work with both short-term and longer-term clients.
Whether you're in a crisis, at a crossroads or just feeling disconnected from yourself, we can work together to reconnect and begin again.
If you're curious or want to know more, feel free to reach out - I'd love to hear from you.
